Full Job Description Position Type:

Part-Time (Hourly)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM + Wednesdays (Half-Day) 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Follows the school calendar) St. Theresa of the Child Jesus School is a joyful, diverse, and academically ambitious Catholic school community in the heart of Somerville, MA, proudly serving students from Preschool through Grade 8. We are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential — academically, spiritually, and socially. Our Preschool belongs to the Lynch Program.

Primary Responsibilities Student Supervision:

Maintain active supervision of students (grades PreK-K, or 1-8) to ensure their safety, security, and well-being at all times.

Homework Assistance:

Assist students with their homework, encouraging good study habits and providing academic guidance when needed.

Activity Coordination:

Lead and participate in recreational games, arts and crafts, outdoor play enrichment activities.

Daily Operations:

Manage student check-in/check-out procedures, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the program space.

Communication:

Maintain professional and welcoming communication with parents, school administrators, and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Previous experience working with school-aged children (in a school, daycare, camp, or parish setting) is highly preferred.

Skills:

Excellent communication, patience, strong classroom management skills, and a positive mindset.

Certifications:

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it) is a plus.
