Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school setting is highly desirable Comfortable working in elementary-level classrooms Demonstrated ability to assist both teachers and students effectively Interest or background in supporting students with autism or special needs in inclusive and intensive settings Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities Compassion, patience, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment Ability to start as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

Assist lead classroom teachers in daily instruction and classroom management Provide 1:1 support for students, including those in intensive autism programs Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions, as needed Support students academic, social, and emotional growth Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture Collaborate with staff to create effective learning opportunities and improve student engagement Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and other teacher-assigned tasks This role is perfect for compassionate individuals enthusiastic about making a real impact in the lives of young learners, especially those with diverse learning needs.
