Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar supportive educational role Strong interpersonal and communication skills Skilled in maintaining composure and professionalism in challenging situations Ability to follow individualized education and behavioral plans Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusion and respect High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certification is a plus
Responsibilities & Duties:
Work closely with teachers and clinicians to deliver educational, social, and behavioral support to students in the day treatment program Assist with classroom activities, transition times, and individualized or group instruction Support students in developing appropriate social and behavioral skills Implement and reinforce strategies outlined in IEPs and behavior management plans Document and report progress or incidents as directed Foster a welcoming, safe, and structured environment conducive to learning Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
