In this vital support role, you will collaborate closely with lead and associate teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and developmental growth in preschool-aged children. Duties Assist lead and associate teachers with lesson planning and implementing curriculum tailored to preschoolers' developmental needs, including literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive development, creativity, and social interaction. Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, ensuring inclusive participation. Collect anecdotal notes and communicate observations to teachers for ongoing assessment and curriculum adjustments. Support all parts of the daily routines including snack time, bathroom breaks, and outdoor play to promote healthy habits and social skills. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop effective classroom strategies that enhance learning outcomes for all students. Participate in coaching with the Early Childhood Specialist. Adhere to all state, county, district, and program rules and policies. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including preschool teaching methods. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Technical proficiency with educational tools or software used in classroom settings. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment.
