Position Overview:

The program assistant is responsible for helping the store front run efficiently. This includes filling in where there are gaps in the volunteer schedule and making sure that the store remains clean and stocked. This employee must have good written and verbal communication skills, be friendly and possess the ability to multitask.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Floor Associate Duties:

○ Provide support for all operations of the sales floor. ○ Support the Food Club Staff with opening and closing procedures. ○ Provide training and assist with onboarding of new volunteers. ○ Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers as the first point of contact. ○ Provide a consistent positive customer experience for all Food Club Members.

Stocking Duties:

○ Assist backroom staff with stocking of merchandise. ○ Handle spoiled and/or damaged products according to rules and regulations

Position Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be bilingual
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work independently and thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Must possess basic computer skills. Knowledge in Microsoft Office is helpful.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, reach overhead, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs.
• Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
