Qualifications:

High school graduate diploma or equivalent required. Demonstrated understanding of student needs along with ability and desire to work with all students. Ability to assist student(s) with multiple challenges in the classroom/school environment. Ability to follow through with prescribed behavioral management or instructional programs. Ability to maintain composure and communication during stressful situations.

Characteristics sought include:

Child-centered, adaptability, calm demeanor, respect for dignity, patience, confidentiality and ability to alertly focus during times of potential distraction. May need good physical flexibility such as ability to run, walk, lift and/or respond to other physical needs of the student. Good attendance required.
