Get Directions Park Rapids Area Century School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Century Lower Elementary School as a Paraprofessional. This full-time position involves supporting teachers and students in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of instructional programs, provide individualized support to students, and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere. 9 month position. 6.5 hrs a day, Monday through Friday for the 2026-2027 School year. Responsibilities
Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand and engage with the curriculum.
Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
Support students with special needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Assist with classroom management and discipline in a positive and constructive manner.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Perform administrative tasks such as grading assignments and maintaining student records.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
Familiarity with educational technology and classroom management techniques.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of special education practices and procedures is a plus.
Must pass a background check and comply with all school district policies and regulations.
