Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their foundational years. In this role, you will create a stimulating and safe classroom environment that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social skills, and physical activity. Your enthusiasm for teaching young children will help foster a love of learning and support their growth across multiple developmental domains. Duties Facilitate classroom activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning when the lead teacher is unavailable. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to create a respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Ensure safety by maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment and adhering to health protocols such as first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, special projects, and early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support in areas like special education or behavior management. "Close out" and properly clean a classroom for the opening lead teacher the next day. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention techniques, literacy education, and childhood welfare practices. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or math for young learners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Experience with toddler care, behavior management strategies, and working within a school or daycare environments is preferred. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding student information. $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
