$12-$16 per hour, based on education and experience
Position:
Full-Time NC Pre-K Teacher Assistant About the Position We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children and enjoys being part of a positive, team-oriented classroom environment. The Teacher Assistant will work alongside our NC Pre-K Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our preschool students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants MUST meet the North Carolina NC Pre-K Teacher Assistant education requirements.
Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR hold/be working toward an Associate Degree or higher in Birth-Kindergarten, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or an early-childhood-related field. If currently working toward the required Associate Degree, be able to provide documentation of enrollment and satisfactory progress. Meet all applicable North Carolina NC Pre-K and childcare employment requirements. Be willing to complete required professional development and training. Be able to work the full scheduled hours of 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday-Friday. North Carolina requires NC Pre-K teacher assistants to complete at least 15 hours of annual in-service professional development as well.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Teacher Assistant will: Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, physical, and developmental needs Help implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and sanitation Support daily routines, meals, transitions, and outdoor activities Assist with documentation and classroom responsibilities as assigned Participate in required staff meetings, professional development, and NC Pre-K activities Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and Tiny Steps Learning Center staff PAY $12-$16 per hour Starting pay will be determined based on education, credentials, experience, and qualifications.
