Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, using personalized strategies to promote safety and comfort Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately Engage residents in meaningful activities, social interactions, and behavioral management techniques to enhance quality of life Operate standard passenger cars safely for transportation needs or outings as required Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to health and safety standards Practice safe patient lifting techniques during manual handling tasks to prevent injury for both residents and staff Communicate effectively with clients' families, team members, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining personal hygiene routines Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred, especially in residential or group home settings Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification required Familiarity with home & community care practices, manual handling techniques, and resident safety protocols preferred Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving in geriatrics or senior care environments Experience working with diverse populations including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges is highly valued Strong communication skills to effectively support client needs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Join us in creating a positive impact every day!
