Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an impactful position supporting middle school students as a Paraprofessional working with a dedicated educational team. This contract role offers a consistent 35-hour week and promises a meaningful experience assisting young learners in their daily educational journey. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to a 5th grade student requiring toileting assistance as well as work with a 7th grade student who needs behavior support. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027, offering stability and the chance to build lasting connections with students and staff.
Qualifications:
Experience working with middle school-aged children, preferably in a school environment Background supporting students with toileting and behavioral needs is highly valued Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a variety of student needs and classroom settings High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certification a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide toileting support to a 5th grade student with dignity and respect Deliver behavioral assistance and promote positive interactions for a 7th grader Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school staff to implement individualized support plans Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment for all students Document student progress and communicate effectively with the instructional team and families as needed This is a rewarding opportunity to make a daily difference in students' lives and to work alongside passionate educators.
