Job Description

Make a meaningful difference supporting students in a rewarding contract position for the upcoming school year. Two dedicated Paraprofessionals are needed to serve at both the middle and high school levels, working closely with students to enhance their educational experience. One opportunity involves one-on-one support for an 8th-grade student with autism who is nonverbal, helping throughout the school day from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 32.5 hours weekly. The second role focuses on assisting a small group of high school students with IEPs in general education, from 8:40 AM to 3:33 PM, also 32.5 hours weekly. Key Qualifications & Skills Previous paraprofessional or direct student support experience in educational settings Flexibility and willingness to assist with toileting, personal care, and daily living needs Familiarity with academic accommodations and the IEP process Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to student challenges Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers and support staff Excellent communication skills, especially with diverse learners Dependable, punctual, and organized Primary Responsibilities Provide tailored support for students with special needs in both academic and personal care Follow and help implement IEP accommodations and assistive strategies Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management Adapt activities as needed for student engagement and success Support students during transitions and throughout the school day This contract role runs from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027, Monday through Friday, aligning with the school calendar.
