50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in a school-based setting in Point Pleasant, New Jersey . The ideal candidate will assist with academic, behavioral, and classroom needs while working closely with teachers and special education staff. Candidates must have at least 60 college credits to qualify for this position. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with special needs. Assist students with academic assignments and classroom activities. Support implementation of IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications. Assist with behavior-management and positive behavior-support strategies. Help students with transitions, routines, and social skills. Collect and document student progress and behavioral information as directed. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers. Support students during classroom activities and school routines. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Maintain student confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Minimum of 60 college credits required. Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred. Special education, behavioral, or classroom experience is a plus. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills. Ability to follow individualized student support plans. Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team. Commitment to supporting student academic, behavioral, and social development.
