JOB DESCRIPTION

West Bloomfield Preschool Academy, part of the West Bloomfield School District, is seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Before and Aftercare Assistant Instructor to join our early childhood team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

: Must have experience working with young children (ages 3â€"5 preferred). High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Ability to manage groups of young children with patience, kindness, and structure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional.

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool-aged children during before and after school hours. Work alongside the lead instructor to provide consistent care and support for all students. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families. Collaborate with preschool staff to maintain a structured and positive daily routine. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school personnel. Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.

DAYS AND TIMES

Monday Thru Friday 7:15am-8:45am, 3:00pm-5:30pm

SALARY :

I In accordance to the current West Bloomfield School District Community Education Salary Schedule.
