The Learning Experience Corp in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a caring Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. In this role, you'll help implement our L.E.A.P. curriculum, supervise children, and create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. Working closely with a lead teacher, you'll assist with lessons, play-based activities, meals, and daily routines while modeling positive behavior. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing The Learning Experience curriculum and daily lesson plans Supervise children to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior at all times Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, and maintaining an organized learning environment Communicate warmly and professionally with children, families, and team members Document daily activities and support children's developmental progress Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations consistently Participate in ongoing training and professional development Assist with meals, rest time, and transitions throughout the day Required Skills Classroom management support Early childhood education practices Child supervision and safety Lesson and activity implementation Parent and family communication Behavior guidance techniques Basic recordkeeping and documentation Sanitation and hygiene procedures Collaboration and teamwork in a school setting Time management in a classroom
