After-School Program Support Teacher Small Tales Daycare is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Support Teacher for our after-school enrichment program. This position assists the Director/Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and positive environment for school-age children. Key Responsibilities Help supervise children and maintain a safe environment. Assist with enrichment activities, recreation, and homework support. Follow daily schedules, lesson plans, and program routines. Use positive behavior-guidance and conflict-resolution strategies. Assist with attendance, transitions, meals, cleanup, and dismissal. Communicate professionally with children, families, and coworkers. Follow OCFS regulations and Small Tales policies. Help maintain clean, organized activity areas and supplies. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet at least one of the following: High school diploma or equivalent; or At least one year of experience working with children under age 13. Additional Requirements At least 18 years old preferred. Able to pass all required OCFS background checks and clearances. Provide acceptable professional and character references. Complete required OCFS health, safety, and mandated-reporter training. Obtain or maintain pediatric CPR and first aid certification. Be dependable and available during after-school hours. Demonstrate patience, good judgment, teamwork, and enthusiasm for working with children. Preferred Experience in child care, education, recreation, camps, or youth programs. College coursework in education, child development, or a related field. Experience assisting with art, STEM, sports, literacy, or other enrichment activities.

Pay:

$16.50 - $17.25 per hour
