Position Summary Help teacher ensure that the written curriculum includes: Goals for childrens development and learning. The experiences through which children will achieve these goals. What staff and parents can do to help children achieve these goals. The materials needed to support the implementation of the curriculum towards achieving the stated goals. Help teacher develop weekly lesson plans, post them for parents, volunteers and visitors in the classroom. Help teacher develop individual plans for each child including goal setting based on identified needs and prescriptions for objectives and activities to meet established child outcomes. Participates in a team-teaching model and shares responsibility for planning and implementing program activities. Required Qualifications Required (Required of applicant in order to be interviewed. Examples include certifications, ability to work weekends. Must have at least a child development associate credential; enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree; or enrolled in a child development associate credential program to be completed within 2 years. Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid, if required Preferred (Examples include knowledge, abilities, certifications, characteristics such as professional and/or approachable demeanor, ability to work with frequent interruptions, etc.): Bi-lingual English Spanish. Valid New York State drivers license with the ability to travel between agency locations. Work Environment Indicate anything out of the ordinary (Examples include ladders, lifting, travel, client home visits, evenings/weekends, holiday hours, exposure to heat/cold, emergency/on-call status): Home Visiting is required.
