• Tuckahoe is hiring Assistant Teachers to support our classrooms during the heart of the school day.

With consistent 10:00 AM-3:00 PM weekday hours , this position is a great fit for someone who loves working with children but is looking for a shorter daytime schedule. You'll work alongside our teaching teams to provide additional classroom support, maintain safe ratios, and help children enjoy a positive and engaging day at school. What You'll Do Support Lead Teachers with classroom activities and daily routines Provide additional classroom and ratio coverage where needed Engage children in play-based learning, art, music, sensory activities, and outdoor play Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classrooms Build positive relationships with children and fellow educators Follow applicable New York childcare licensing requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience working with children preferred Daycare, preschool, childcare, camp, or early childhood experience is a plus Patient, reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Comfortable supporting different classrooms as needed Must meet applicable New York childcare licensing requirements What We Offer $19
