Join Our Team as a PreK Lead Teacher at Heritage Early Learning Center! Are you passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning in a nurturing, Christian environment? Heritage Early Learning Center in St. Clairsville, OH, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PreK Lead Teacher to join our team. Located at 52329 National Rd. What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities As our PreK Lead Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching environment for our young learners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Researching, planning, and implementing a successful Christian educational program with age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Maintaining SUTQ standards and guiding Teacher Assistants to uphold these standards. Leading prayer time and fostering the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social development of children. Planning and implementing engaging activities such as math, literacy, songs, games, and storytelling. Ensuring the classroom and facility are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Conducting age-appropriate evaluations, reports, and classroom observations. Communicating effectively with parents through daily reports and discussions about their child's development. Maintaining necessary records such as attendance, incident reports, and medication forms. Participating in in-service trainings (First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse Recognition, etc.) and emergency drills. Assisting with center activities, including parent tours, open houses, and community outreach events. Upholding confidentiality and fostering positive relationships with parents, staff, and administrators.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications To thrive in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschoolers in a daycare or similar setting.
A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or equivalent.
A solid understanding of preschool development, health, and safety best practices.
The ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a true passion for early childhood education.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day.
