Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and diaper changes, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Supervise children closely to ensure their safety during play, learning activities, and transitions throughout the day. Engage children with nurturing interaction, encouraging exploration and curiosity while fostering positive behavior management strategies. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that meets health and safety regulations, including sanitizing toys and surfaces regularly. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns to build trust and partnership. Support classroom management by adhering to policies on mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices. Skills Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of child development instruction principles tailored to infants and toddlers. Certifications such as first aid (including pediatric first aid), CPR, and child safety training are required or preferred. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques. Understanding of early childhood education standards, classroom management strategies, and childhood development milestones.
