Full Job Description Our Mission:
Sweet Pea Learning Center's mission is to offer a safe, loving, and supportive environment for local families and their children. Through age appropriate learning and care, we will ensure that the individual needs of each child are met. We provide an environment a child can flourish. Our goal is to develop children to their fullest potential and create the strongest possible foundation for their lives. What we're looking for: We are looking for a creative, flexible, positive person to join our team after-school 3:15-5:30pm to support evening closing duties, staff breaks and child engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Be at least 16 years of age Be easygoing, have a positive attitude and love children!
PREFERRED QUALITIES
Have completed a training with a minimum of 2 hours on recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect that is specific to Oregon law Completed OCC approved health and safety training (If caring for infants) Completed OCC approved safe sleep training as well Excellent written and verbal communication skills with parents, & staff Able to organize information, lists, and organize classroom areas/supplies Applicants must be available to set a consistent weekly schedule What SPLC can offer you:

•$15-17 per hour Paid Vacation Time Flexible Scheduling Paid Continued Education Paid Team Building Activities and events Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in educational activities. Provide support in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment. Supervise children during playtime and assist with daily routines, including meal times and nap times. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Monitor and document children's progress and development, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
Pay:
$15.50 - $16.50 per hour
