Job Summary Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a PreK Counts Assistant Teacher! In this vibrant role, you will support classroom instruction and create a nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help lay a strong foundation for early learning, ensuring every child feels valued, engaged, and ready to explore the world around them. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on literacy, math, and early childhood development standards. Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and encouraging social skills among students. Supervise children during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and engagement. Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for young children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities. Maintain classroom organization, ensure compliance with educational regulations, and assist with recordkeeping. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, including experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not required; training can be provided if necessary. Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support classroom activities.
