Key Qualifications:

Must meet Pennsylvania paraprofessional standards: Associate degree, or minimum 48 college credit hours, or passing score on ParaPro, CDA, or PaTTAN credential. Capability to satisfy all clearance and screening requirements, including mandatory drug screening, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal History, and FBI Fingerprinting. Willingness to complete 20 hours of yearly job-related professional development. Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with young children is highly valued. Flexibility to work in different district buildings as student and staffing needs change.

Typical Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated classroom support to Pre-K students as directed by teaching staff. Assist in managing classroom activities, implementing individualized strategies, and supporting inclusive practices. Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to foster a nurturing and effective learning environment. Adapt to different roles and locations based on district needs, rotating to various buildings as required after initial assignment. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and procedures. This position offers a consistent Monday - Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing for balanced workdays and direct impact in a school community.
