Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher
•Behavior Support for a full-time, school-based position in Ridgeway, SC. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs while creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
Support students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs
Develop and implement individualized instructional and behavior-support strategies
Adapt lessons, materials, and interventions to meet individual student needs
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and reevaluations
Apply positive behavior supports and effective classroom-management strategies
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related-service professionals
Maintain a safe, structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
Support students during classroom routines, transitions, and other school activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification required
Certification appropriate to the assignment, including Multi-Categorical, Behavioral Disabilities, or Emotional Disabilities, as applicable
Knowledge of IEP development, special education practices, and behavior-support strategies
Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Previous school-based Special Education or behavior-support experience preferred
