Job Description

Join our fun, educational team this school year! Part-Time Position | Snapology of Benbrook Snapology Benbrook is hiring enthusiastic, reliable instructors and assistants to lead hands-on LEGO®-based STEM programs for children ages 4-12. We provide the curriculum, materials, and training—you bring the energy, organization, and love for working with kids! Roles & Responsibilities Instructor Lead engaging, curriculum-guided STEM activities for groups of up to 20 students (an assistant will be assigned for groups of 14+) Follow Snapology's structured lesson plans—no lesson planning or supply prep required Guide students in using materials and equipment responsibly Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom using Snapology's expectations Observe and support student progress, adjusting engagement as needed Prepare for programs by reviewing materials, watching training videos, and attending occasional in-person trainings in Benbrook Communicate with parents as needed and help promote future enrollment Ensure all materials are organized, cleaned, and returned after each class Assistant Instructor Support the lead instructor with classroom management and student engagement Help organize materials, set up, and clean up before and after class Contribute to a positive, fun learning environment
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances At least 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or similar setting
Preferred:
Education degree, teaching certification, or currently pursuing a degree in education Strong communication and classroom management skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Able to work independently and as part of a team
After School Program Opportunities:
Classes are held at various locations in Southwest Fort Worth Programs run Monday-Friday, with different schools each day Most classes are 1-2 hour long and begin between 2:00-3:30 PM depending on location This position is ideal for candidates with flexible weekday afternoons and a passion for working with children. Additional Opportunities Recreation center classes Limited daytime classes Saturday events Birthday parties Single-day workshops (2-3 hours)

Opportunity for expanded hours during school breaks and summer camps for those who are a strong fit and interested in additional work. Compensation Instructor Pay (Hourly) Classes & Workshops (1-2 hours):
Teacher:
$32/hour
Assistant Teacher:
$22/hour Camps & Extended Programs (3+ hours):
Teacher:
$27/hour
Assistant Teacher:
$19/hour Promotional Events & Community Outreach $20/hour (All roles; promotional/non-instructional events) Additional Details This is a flexible, part-time position Most employees average 5-10 hours per week during the school year Applicants must be available for afternoon classes beginning around 2:45 PM You do not need to be available every day, but availability during these times is required
Note:
Team members may be scheduled as either an instructor or assistant depending on program needs. Our goal is a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
