Schedule:

The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 12pm-6pm. The Preschool Teacher Assistant works alongside the lead teacher to provide quality care and education for preschool-aged children. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities.

Supervise children during classroom lessons, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods.

Encourage positive behavior and help children develop social and emotional skills.

Prepare classroom materials and learning centers for daily activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.

Assist children with personal hygiene, including handwashing and toileting when needed.

Observe children's progress and report concerns or achievements to the lead teacher.

Help with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization.

Communicate professionally with parents and staff as directed by the lead teacher.

Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and school policies.

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or early childhood education coursework preferred.

Previous experience working with young children is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with children.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
