This contract opportunity, located on-site near Schertz, TX, offers a chance to work within a nurturing school environment, assisting children with hearing loss and facilitating accessible learning experiences. The assignment runs from ASAP through late May 2027, providing consistency and development over the school year. You'll primarily collaborate with students in middle and high school settings and adapt to the evolving needs of the school. Interviews for this rewarding position are scheduled for the last week in October.

Desired Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher OR minimum of 48 college semester hours (recognized by Texas Education Agency or a regional agency) and successful completion of a paraeducator course via Stedi.org (passing score of 70%+) Experience in pediatric or school-based settings, particularly with children who are deaf or hard of hearing Bachelors degree preferred American Sign Language proficiency Ability to pass required fingerprinting and background checks

Provide direct support to students with hearing loss in classroom settings, promoting engagement and communication Assist teachers in instructional activities and adapt materials for accessibility Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for students across one primary school (with potential flexibility between locations as needed) Help implement individualized education plans and facilitate a collaborative partnership with educational staff This position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, working with dedicated teams and making a difference for up to 40 students across age groups.
