Job Description

Job Summary Four Seasons Daycare is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and developmental growth of young children. Requirements Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson plans Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Support children's learning through play, structured activities, and routines Supervise children at all times, including during meals, rest periods, and outdoor play Assist with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines as needed Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff Follow all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines Patience, flexibility and love for children and their families Responsibilities and Duties Meet the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development of the children in care. Develop and maintain a positive classroom community. Work cooperatively with teaching team to implement curriculum within the established guidelines. Implement established curriculum. Design and implement daily lessons/activity plans within the center's established guidelines Engage with children, families and staff in all activities designed for the classroom. Make ongoing systematic observations and evaluations of each child. Conduct family conferences and maintain communication with families. Maintain cleanliness of classroom and program site equipment. Maintain required classroom records. Maintain licensing/accreditation requirements. Attend teaching team meetings and center-wide staff meetings and trainings. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with young children preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from Lead Teachers and administration Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude Must pass required background checks and complete required trainings

$13.00 - $16.50 per hour
