What We're Looking For:

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required Experience as a Paraprofessional or Sign Language Interpreter in school settings is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with educators and school staff Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a dedicated 1:1 interpreter for a high school student, facilitating communication and access to instruction Assist with academics and classroom activities as needed, providing support and encouragement Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where the student can thrive Collaborate with teachers and specialists to address the students individual needs and goals Monitor and report on student progress and participation This role is part-time, averaging 16.25 hours per week, creating a flexible schedule that can fit well with other responsibilities or commitments.
