Job Description

Little Bears Childcare in Waterloo is looking for a Lead teacher/Assistant Director to join our team. We are looking for an individual who desires to work with children and families; are committed to a fast-paced work environment with new challenges and opportunities daily. Someone who loves children and loves to have fun! Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Greets each child in a warm and friendly manner. Treat all children with dignity and respect. Interacts with the children and encourages their involvement in activities. Provides a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing. The environment should allow and encourage the child to grow and to safely explore. Responsible for diapering, toileting and bathroom time and establishing good habits of personal hygiene. Assists with all mealtime activities by using family style dining. Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere. Ensures confidentiality of privileged information. Maintains adherence to all center policies and procedures. Maintains adherence to the Wisconsin Licensing Rules and Regulations for a group center. Engages with children in various activities for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Participates in various meeting (e.g. staff development, staff meetings, etc.) for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving one's skills and knowledge. Plans and implements daily activities (indoor/outdoor) as they relate to curriculum. Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of the children. Maintains daily attendance records. Responsible in maintaining ongoing developmental records for each child, including keeping records of all developing skills (physical, social, emotional and cognitive). Maintains good communication with parents on a daily basis through the use of daily sheets, notes and/or verbally. Contact Amy- 920-478-2767
