Length of Work Year This is a 3.5-hours per day, 186-days per year part-time position (prorated for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year) Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, provide tutoring and/or homework assistance, offer an array of academic enrichment activities, and organize safe, constructive alternatives for students. Tutors work responsibly to perform a variety of instructional services and clerical support activities within a well-defined framework of policies, procedures and objectives; and do other related work as required. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Expanded Learning Tutor I = no degree; II = AA or AS degree; III = BA or BS degree. Equivalent to graduation from high school and/or any combination of experience and training to provide the required knowledge and skill. An AA degree, or 2 years equivalence of acceptable college coursework, or successful passage of an acceptable rigorous assessment is highly preferred. Must pass an Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test with a score of 70% or higher in the areas of Math, Reading and Writing, or provide High School Proficiency verification; Must be able to provide your own reliable transportation to work sites within Kings County.
