Physics Teacher / Tutor - Part-Time Education Enrichment Center Pleasanton, CA Job Details Part-time $32 - $45 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Engineering Experience working with high schoolers Bachelor's degree Working with students Physics Full Job Description We are seeking a Physics teacher/tutor to work with middle and high school students in a structured, in-person setting.
Responsibilities:
Teach Physics to high school students Teach regular, Honors, and AP Physics Teach Math to middle and high school students Help students develop strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills Support students with homework, tests, and course material Prepare students for AP Physics exams Work with students in 1:1 and small group sessions Help students improve their academic performance and confidence in Physics Provide instruction tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, or a related field OR currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of these fields For current undergraduate students, junior or senior standing would be considered, with strong academic performance in Physics One of the degrees should be from a US university Strong high school Physics background Experience teaching Honors and/or AP Physics preferred Strong mathematical and quantitative problem-solving skills Master's degree and/or classroom teaching experience is a plus The capability to teach Mathematics would be a strong plus Experience teaching AP Calculus or other advanced math courses is a plus Retired teachers welcome
Schedule:
Part-time:
10-20 hours/week When school is in session, anytime between:
Weekdays:
4:30-8:30
PM Saturdays:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM During school summer breaks:
Weekdays:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Weekends are optional Flexible scheduling
