Oakland , CA Who we are: At Ignite the Mind, our core purpose is to cultivate a passion for learning. Our collaborative community of passionate tutors provides students in grades K-12 with individualized academic assistance. At this time, we are looking to hire in-person tutors that can offer educational support and mentorship in all high school subjects. What you'll be doing: Tutors are responsible for helping our grade 9-12 students improve their academic performance by providing in-person tutoring services at their assigned school site. The tutoring schedule is 8am-3pm Mon-Fri (no you do not have to do the entire shift. You can pick which hours you'd like to work). We are seeking tutors who can balance tuning in to the emotional need of our students while providing them with the tools they need to achieve academic excellence. This is not a remote role. It is a contractual position with a start date at the beginning of October and an end date of TBD.
