Note:
If you have fewer than five day availability (Monday-Friday), your application will be considered for a substitute tutor position. Substitute tutors are placed on an on-call basis according to the schedule preferences indicated on your application.•

Teaching Fellow:
As a Teaching Fellow, you'll work directly with students in expanded learning programs. Tutoring, guiding, and supporting young learners through hands-on activities while ensuring a safe, structured, and positive environment for every student in your classroom.
The Opportunity:
Monitor Student Learning in an After School Program Environment Monitor and mentor student learning activities daily. Develop lesson plans and establish clear objectives for each day. Submit lesson plans to Teaching Fellows, ensuring target standards are met. Provide individual and group tutoring. Prepare reports to track student progress and accomplishments. Enforce behavioral rules and procedures to maintain order. Observe and evaluate student performance and behavior. Ensure equipment and materials are used properly. Communication & Safety Foster good communication with fellow tutors, teachers, and with the California Teaching Fellows Foundation. Collaborate with other tutors on lesson planning and program goals. Ensure student safety and supervise all of their activities. Follow emergency procedures set forth by Teaching Fellows and/or school districts. Report any incidents promptly to the site lead, school administration, or local authorities. Perform Other Duties as Assigned Attend monthly staff meetings (Teaching Fellow Academies) once a month and training as scheduled Offer opinions and suggestions on program decisions.
