Do you enjoy working with children and helping students achieve academic success? Tutoring 4 Less is seeking dedicated, dependable, and enthusiastic Tutors to join our positive and supportive tutoring center in South Gate, California . We provide individualized 1-to-1 and small-group tutoring, mentoring, and homework support for K-12 students in a variety of academic subjects. Tutors have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing personalized instruction, encouragement, and academic guidance. Position Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group tutoring in Math, English Language Arts, reading, writing, phonics, and other academic subjects . Adapt instruction to meet each student's academic needs, learning style, and skill level. Work with students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities, including students requiring special education support. Help students strengthen academic skills, complete assignments, and develop confidence and independence. Provide clear explanations, modeling, encouragement, and constructive feedback. Follow individualized learning plans and instructional recommendations provided by the company. Maintain accurate tutoring documentation and required company paperwork. Use computers and online educational resources as part of tutoring sessions. Create a positive, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Qualifications & Requirements At least two years of college-level coursework with Math and/or English tutoring experience, OR four years of Math and/or English tutoring experience. Experience working with students with special education needs is highly desirable . Current teachers and substitute teachers are welcome to apply. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with K-12 students of varying academic levels and abilities. Reliable, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping students learn and succeed. Bilingual skills are a plus. Comfortable using computers and educational technology. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to follow directions and complete required company documentation. Must be willing to complete a fingerprint and background check upon hire . Candidates should be able to commit to a minimum of six months . Schedule Tutors must be available for one of the following schedules: Monday & Wednesday OR Tuesday & Thursday 4:00 PM - 9:15 PM What We Provide Tutoring 4 Less provides tutors with: Their own classroom Necessary tutoring supplies and materials Curriculum and educational resources Student assessments Individualized learning plans Student scheduling and session coordination A supportive and positive work environment If you are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and want to help students reach their academic potential, we would love to hear from you!
Pay:
