$16.00 per hour About the Position Tutoring Excellence of Longmont is looking for a patient, dependable, and enthusiastic Reading & Writing Tutor to help students strengthen literacy skills and become more confident learners. We provide both one-on-one tutoring and small-group tutoring with a 3:1 student-to-tutor ratio. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping students improve reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and written expression. College students, education majors, aspiring teachers, and individuals who enjoy helping children learn are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities Provide reading and writing instruction in one-on-one and 3:1 small-group settings. Help students improve reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and spelling. Support students in developing grammar, sentence structure, and written expression. Adapt instruction to students' individual learning needs and skill levels. Encourage a love of reading, confidence, and positive learning habits. Monitor student progress and communicate professionally with the tutoring team. Maintain a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Qualifications Strong reading and writing skills are required. Patient, dependable, and encouraging. Comfortable working with students individually and in small groups. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required. Education majors, college students, and aspiring educators are welcome to apply. Compensation $16.00 per hour. Part-time position.
