Location:
LP Wilson Center/BOE District Office Part-Time NEDP Tutor Windsor Adult Education is seeking a part-time tutor to support adult learners in our National External Diploma Program (NEDP) as they work toward earning their high school diploma. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys one-on-one instruction and wants to make a meaningful impact in adults' lives.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized tutoring to adult learners in reading, writing, and math Support learners preparing for CASAS Math and Reading/Language Arts placement testing Teach test-taking strategies to build learner confidence and readiness Help learners develop and demonstrate competencies required for NEDP diploma completion Incorporate AI tools where appropriate to support learning and skill-building
Qualifications:
BA/BS required Strong communication and writing skills Solid math skills, with the ability to teach foundational and applied concepts Familiarity with standardized testing, particularly CASAS assessments, preferred Comfort using AI tools to enhance instruction Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in adult education Prior tutoring or teaching experience a plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay:
5 hours per week, schedule to be arranged $51.58/hour Position is grant-funded through the end of fiscal year 2028 (June 30, 2028)
