City Year is seeking an Academic Tutor to support students' academic and social-emotional growth in partner public schools. In this full-time role, you will provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, track student progress, and collaborate with teachers to align support with classroom instruction. You will serve as a mentor and positive role model, helping students build confidence, set goals, and develop effective learning habits. Responsibilities Provide in-class and after-school tutoring in core subjects Lead small-group and one-on-one academic support sessions Monitor, track, and report student progress and engagement Collaborate daily with teachers and school staff to align support Mentor students to build confidence, attendance, and behavior Support classroom routines and positive learning environments Communicate with City Year team on goals and outcomes Participate in training, coaching, and professional development Required Skills Tutoring in math Tutoring in English/ELASmall-group instruction Lesson reinforcement Classroom management Student progress monitoring Data entry & tracking Basic educational assessment Communication with teachers Mentoring & coaching youth
