September 2026-February 2027 Position Overview AM Pathways to Success Foundation, Inc. is seeking experienced academic tutors to provide targeted ELA and Math intervention to 2nd-5th grade students who are performing below grade level.
Tutors will work with small groups of approximately three students , allowing for focused instruction and individualized support. Before tutoring begins, students will complete diagnostic assessments in ELA and Math. Assessment results will be used to identify specific learning gaps and place students into groups based on similar skill levels and instructional needs. Tutor Responsibilities Provide engaging, skill-based instruction to small groups of approximately three students Tutor students in ELA and Math based on identified academic needs Review student diagnostic assessment results and use the data to guide instruction and lesson planning Provide targeted intervention in areas where students demonstrate skill gaps Encourage student participation and build academic confidence Monitor student understanding and progress throughout the program Maintain consistent attendance and arrive prepared for scheduled sessions Communicate student progress, challenges, and concerns to AM Pathways staff Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Minimum of one year of tutoring, teaching, or academic intervention experience required Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong knowledge of elementary ELA and Math Ability to interpret student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly Experience providing small-group instruction preferred Patient, dependable, encouraging, and able to build positive relationships with students Must successfully complete an interview and required background screening Must be able to commit consistently to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM-5:30 PM through February 2027 Why Join AM Pathways?
