December, 2026 ~ January, 2027 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Tutor / Teacher to join our growing tutoring program. We work with students in Grades 5-11 and are looking for an educator who can provide strong instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math . This position will begin as part-time , with the potential to develop into a full-time salaried position as student enrollment and teaching responsibilities grow. We are particularly interested in candidates who are looking for a long-term opportunity rather than a short-term tutoring position. The ideal candidate is a versatile educator who can work with students across multiple grade levels and subject areas. Experience with SAT preparation is a strong plus .

Compensation:

$25-$45 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and subject expertise. Key Responsibilities Teach students in Grades 5-11 in Reading, Writing, and/or Math Provide individualized instruction based on each student's academic needs Teach both individual students and small groups Strengthen reading comprehension, writing, grammar, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills Help students develop critical thinking and effective study skills Prepare students for standardized tests, including the SAT , when applicable Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress Follow established curriculum and instructional methods Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment RequirementsRequired Strong academic background in Reading, Writing, Math, or related fields Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students Ability to work effectively with students in Grades 5-11 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, professional, and committed to student growth Ability to explain academic concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles Preferred / Strong Plus Bachelor's degree or higher Ability to teach all three subjects: Reading, Writing, and Math Experience working with students across multiple grade levels SAT teaching or test-preparation experience Experience developing individualized learning plans Classroom teaching experience Interest in taking on additional responsibilities as the program grows Compensation & Career Growth $25-$45/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. This is intended to be a long-term growth opportunity . The position starts part-time, but successful candidates may have the opportunity to increase their teaching hours, take on additional responsibilities, and eventually transition into a full-time salaried position . We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our program and build a long-term teaching career .
