Rate of Pay:

$35.00 per hour Reports to: K-8 Literacy Coordinator

Summary:

The Title I Tutor will work with classroom teachers to identify students who require substantial intervention in Literacy. The tutor will work with these students primarily in a push-in model for the purpose of small group and targeted assistance aligned with the Literacy curriculum. This is a Part-Time position 18 hours per week. Title I Tutors are a grant-funded position and as such is contingent on the availability of funding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Complete the required paperwork for the strategies/interventions as outlined in Title I regulations

Work with the principal and classroom teachers to identify potential students for assistance/ intervention using objective criteria

Teach multiple small intervention groups. Progress monitor and analyze student data

Demonstrated ability to implement interventions in Literacy programs and to provide support to at-risk students
