Job Overview We are seeking passionate and energetic High School STEM Tutors to inspire and support students in mastering the following subjects: AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus A/B, Calculus B/C, Statistics and SAT Math. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in STEM disciplines, excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners. Specifically, ideal tutors play a direct role in fostering a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth. Duties Deliver engaging lessons in various STEM subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science, and engineering topics. Develop comprehensive timelines tailored to individual student needs, incorporating best practices in lesson planning and assessment. Use Google Drive to track student progress regularly and adapt instructional approaches to maximize learning outcomes. Assist students with understanding complex concepts such as trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, data structures, and more. Prepare students for standardized tests and exams (SAT, ACT, and MISA) through targeted test preparation tutoring strategies. Manage classroom dynamics effectively during tutoring sessions by applying small-group management techniques suitable for teenagers. Foster a supportive environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and active participation among students of diverse backgrounds. Qualifications Must be communicative (able to be reached by phone), proactive and independent (be supportive of our tutor team), socially intelligent (able to build positive rapport with students), and open to growth and constructive feedback (be understanding of parents' preferences and requests). Proven teaching experience with teenagers or high school students in chemistry, physics, biology, and high school math (Pre-Calculus, Calculus A/B, Calculus B/C, Statistics and SAT Math). Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content across multiple disciplines such as science (biology, chemistry, microbiology), mathematics (algebra, geometry, calculus), and computer science (discrete math, data structures). Experience working with students of varying skill levels, including those requiring special education accommodations or additional support. Strong familiarity with online instruction platforms and digital learning tools. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in any STEM subject. Join us to empower the next generation of innovators! Pay:
$30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 4.0 per week
