August 17, 2026 Position Summary Faxon Academy is seeking a dedicated Intervention Tutor to support classroom teachers and provide targeted academic assistance to students through individual and small-group instruction. The Intervention Tutor works collaboratively with staff to help students strengthen academic skills and achieve success. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following educational requirements: Minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university; or College Board SAT score of at least: 480 on Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and 530 on Math; or Passing score of 460 on the ETS ParaPro Assessment . Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of child development and classroom management. Ability to support instruction and work effectively with students. Basic computer and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies. Essential Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group academic interventions in reading, math, and other core subjects. Support classroom instruction and collaborate with teachers. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records. Supervise students and promote a safe, positive learning environment. Assist with classroom organization, student data, and daily instructional activities. Follow school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
