Tutor

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school. Candidates must possess an associate's degree, successful completion of 48 semester hours or score at least a level Four or higher on all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) of the WorkKeys exam. Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the local board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities:

Provides supplemental academic assistance to students Conducts instructional activities assigned by the content teacher with individual students or small groups Collaborates with content teachers regarding the progress and individual needs of students Collaborates with the content teacher to deliver differentiated instruction for students based on available local and state student data Assists the content teacher in preparing instructional materials Maintains appropriate records and reporting tools regarding services and student progress Attends required training sessions to learn strategies for working with students Participates in staff development programs to improve job performance
