Job Summary Granite Learning is eeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-Time Math Tutor to join our educational team in Keene, NH. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students by providing personalized instruction across a broad spectrum of math topics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and trigonometry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and possess a strong background in math and related sciences. You will work with students of various ages and skill levels, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals through engaging lessons and effective learning strategies. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys while developing their teaching skills. Duties Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and science subjects, including chemistry, biology, microbiology, genetics, physiology, and biochemistry. Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style, curriculum requirements, and academic objectives. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate online learning sessions effectively. Assess student progress regularly through tests and informal evaluations; adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure continuous improvement. Prepare students for standardized tests and exams by providing targeted test preparation tutoring in areas such as algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, and discrete math. Maintain detailed records of student progress, session notes, and lesson plans to track growth over time. Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom behavior (virtual or physical) and encouraging active participation from students of all ages, including teenagers and adult learners. Experience Proven experience teaching or tutoring math at various levels, from early childhood education to higher education settings. Strong background in curriculum development across multiple math disciplines such as algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, trigonometry, discrete math, data structures, and machine learning concepts. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels—especially with children, teenagers, and adult learners. Familiarity with online instruction platforms and digital learning tools to facilitate remote tutoring sessions seamlessly. Experience working with special education needs or classroom management skills are highly desirable. Knowledge of science subjects including chemistry (organic chemistry), biology (microbiology, genetics), physiology (anatomy), chemical engineering principles, electrical engineering basics, mechanical engineering concepts, data analysis techniques (statistics), and computer science fundamentals is a plus. Prior experience in lesson planning and developing customized educational content that promotes understanding and engagement.
