The client is a 53-year-old woman on the autism spectrum who lives independently in the community. Building foundational literacy skills is an important step toward her goals. She is looking to begin with 1 hour per week, with the possibility of increasing sessions as she becomes more comfortable and confident. Tutoring will take place at the Hunterdon Public Library.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support in learning basic reading & writing Encourage skill-building and promote independence Adapt teaching methods to meet the client's learning style and pace Maintain a positive, patient, and supportive environment

Requirements:

Passion for teaching and helping others succeed. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Patience, creativity, and flexibility. Reliable transportation.
