Hilliard, OH Overview:
We are seeking Math and/or English Tutors to work with elementary school students in a small-group, in-person setting. Currently, we have positions available across multiple locations . All curriculum, lesson plans, and materials are provided. This is a year-round, part-time position with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead small-group tutoring sessions in Math and/or English. Use the provided curriculum and teaching materials. Clearly and effectively explain concepts, adapting lessons to each student's learning style. Help students with homework and reinforce classroom lessons. Monitor student progress consistently and tailor teaching approaches accordingly. Offer constructive feedback to students and parents, highlighting areas for growth. Create a welcoming, encouraging learning atmosphere to build confidence and motivation. Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, and/or English, or a related field. Proven experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator in Math and/or English. Excellent knowledge of Math and/or English concepts for various grade levels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Patience and empathy to support struggling students effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Teaching License (completed or in progress) Substitute teachers. Retired teachers.
