Qualificatins:

Bachel r's degree required Pennsylvania Teaching Certificatin in secndary subjects is desired but n t required. Demnstrate the ability t be flexible when wrking with y ung adults. Knwledge f schl district curriculum and c llege access requirements. Cmputer skills in the latest perating systems f Micrsft Windws and assciated s ftware. Experience in teaching Mathematics r English is preferred but n t required. Gd cmmunicati n skills. Satisfactry wrk rec rd & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151) as applicable. Summary The GEAR UP Cllege & Career tutr will prvide chrt students' academic supprt in the classrm and after schl in CRE cntent areas under the supervisin f the classrm teacher and the GEAR UP prgram manager. Tutring sessins may include individual r small grups f students. Tutrs are respnsible fr entering tutring data int the GEAR UP database weekly and keeping accurate and cmplete recrds. Essential Duties and Respnsibilities Prvides day-t-day in-class and ut-f-class (after schl) tutring supp rt. Maintains accurate and cmplete recrds f r GEAR UP. Prvides teachers with weekly updates regarding students' pr gress. Cllabrates with Prgram Manager t purchase tut ring supplies. Respnsible fr entering tut ring data weekly. Prvides mnthly prgram updates t the schl district Prgram Manager. This is a grant-funded psiti n. Participates in all GEAR UP training and prfessinal devel pment. Travels t GEAR UP meetings in the sch l district. Participate in n-site evaluati n visits. Participates in n-site evaluati n visits Participates in the develpment f the annual acti n plan.
