About the student The student is a 4th grade boy attending PA Distance Learning Charter and he needs assistance in reading, writing, and math. He has signs of ADHD and the autism spectrum, has an IEP, and recent assessment tests put him at a 1st grade level. He would benefit from working with a tutor who can help improve his identification of sight words and vocabulary, phonics and pronunciation, spelling and grammar, reading comprehension, sentence structure, and a better understanding of the concepts of math, especially as it relates to problem solving. Homework assistance and test prep would also be needed. The goal for the student are to provide ongoing tutoring support that leads the young man down the path to not only getting closer to grade level but improving his overall reading, writing, and math fluency.
