JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Scranton is accepting applications for the position of part-time Peer Tutors to support a variety of academic courses. Peer Tutors must be current or recent Penn State Scranton students who are knowledgeable in the subject area, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have earned a B+ or higher in the subject tutored (a grade of A is preferred) and recommended by the Instructor of the course.

Peer Tutors are:

Expected to attend training sessions,

Maintain a consistent tutoring schedule,

Keep accurate and timely records of tutoring appointments,

Maintain student confidentiality,

Adhere to Penn State's Academic Integrity policy, and

Meet with the Associate Director of the Learning Center for supervision

Tutoring sessions are by appointment and hours vary by subject and time of the semester. Apply electronically (www.hr.psu.edu/careers). Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
